Prayer for June 04, 2021

6/4/2021

June 04, 2021 Prayer

I just finished talking with my Life Coach. Each month I spend an hour with her over the phone as we work on the tough parts of my self and in moving forward and with purpose. I love our chats. It’s not therapy but in some ways, it feels like it is. Today we focused on balance. I mentioned that throughout the pandemic balance is a lot of what has been missing in my life. And in many ways, it needed to be off-balance. A pandemic is not normal. I dove into work and family, forgetting that fitness and mental wellness are just as important. So this month, I have a few appointments to help me in the healing the knee journey (we think I have a tear in my meniscus), workouts and healthier eating are priorities. A few short courses will be done over the next couple of months to strengthen my soul and my calling and in helping us be a more hybrid church in the fall. I hope you’ll consider what balance looks like for you and your life and how you can maintain and sustain it. If you need a non-family member to help you with accountability, reach out. Accountability is key to success.

Here is my prayer for today:
Loving Creator, Divine Parent and Holy God, we thank you for the gift of life. We thank you for family and friends and those who come into our lives who bring us hope, joy and encouragement. We thank you for cheerleaders and those who help to keep us on track. May we be people of hope and joy, comfort and blessing, and the kind of Christians that are respected and looked up to. Help us to be and do righteous things in your eyes and not our own. Be with us as the discovery of 215 bodies of children sinks into our hearts, our minds and our souls and help us to continue to wrestle with thoughts that come our way. May we be still and hear your voice calling us, and to hear our brothers and sisters calling us to what they need. Be with our brothers and sisters who continue their fight for justice and accountability, for reconciliation and restitution. Surround them with your Spirit, offering them strength and compassion, especially if they have doubters in their midst.
God, never leave our sides. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
