365 Days of Prayer: March 10 to March 16

3/6/2025

March 10, 2025
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (Psalm 23:4 NIV)
God of changes in seasons and times, be with us as we continue to adjust to losing an hour of sleep. As National Nappy Day, grant us permission to rest and to take care of ourselves. Life can be heavy, and our burdens can wear us down. Help us to give things to you so we can carry out our days with positivity, joy, and hope. Be with us, O God. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

March 11, 2025
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. (Isaiah 40:29 NIV)
God of light and love, surround us today with your grace and compassion. Today, we ask you to be with those who care for us. Bless our families and friends, our doctors and nurses, our caregivers and our community. May they know they are appreciated, even if we disagree at time. May they know they are valuable in our hearts. Care for them as they care for us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

March 12, 2025
And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. (1 Peter 5:10 NIV)
God of all the beauty of the earth, help us to see hope in the greening that is starting to appear. Help us to think about the colours of flowers and the scent they produce. Provide us with sunshine and the warmth it provides us so we can live into the hope of spring. As it is National Plant a Flower Day today, may we find your love flowering all around us. God, be with us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

March 13, 2025
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. (Psalm 73:26 NIV)
Loving God, help us to be good Samaritans today. Be in us as we navigate our world. As we encounter others today, remind us that we all have something going on. May we be kind. May we think about offering random acts of kindness. May we consider making a new friend. God, help us to find our strength in you if we’re struggling today. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

March 14, 2025
I can do all this through him who gives me strength (Philippians 4:13 NIV)
God, as we journey through the 40 days of wandering in the wilderness with Jesus, help us to take some time to record our stories. The memories we’ve created through our lives can offer valuable insight for our families. May we take 30 minutes today to write some notes down in a book or to audio record some memories that we can all cherish.  May those memories possibly even include a faith memory too. God be in our hearts and in our minds. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

March 15, 2025
This is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:10 NIV)
Loving God, as we pray for children and families today, be with them. Grant parents the strength to get through the crazy times with the kids, and may they remember to not take everything too personally. Bless our children as they grow and learn and may we all be good guides along their journeys. Keep them curious, O God, and may we help them know you.  God, be with us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

March 16, 2025
But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:3 NIV)
God, we may see things around us that are so very wrong - violence, inequity, injustice, and hatred. We continue to pray for peace and harmony, justice and love for all. But we’ve been praying for this for years and it seems like nothing has changed. It feels like it’s just getting worse.  God, how can we be a solution? What can we do to help our world be better? How can we share hope and love? Speak to our hearts today. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
