And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.” (Isaiah 6:3)
Loving and Comforting God, on this World Day of Bullying Prevention, help us to encourage all people into good ways of being. May we all be willing to learn and grow and change as our understanding of the world and human nature does. Grant us strength to ask forgiveness, grace when seeking change, and perseverance when addressing bullies. May we all want to learn more about how to be with one another for the health and peace of us all. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

God came from Teman, the Holy One from Mount Paran. His glory covered the heavens and his praise filled the earth. His splendour was like the sunrise; rays flashed from his hand, where his power was hidden. (Habakkuk 3:3-4)
Creating God, today we celebrate “You Matter to Me” day. May we take time to email, text, call, or write someone to let them know just that. May we think about the person or people we couldn’t live without and tell them how much it means to have them in our lives. For our busiest folks, grant us a time to make this a priority. This little act can change someone’s life, especially if they are feeling lost or alone. Help us to love one another in the ways you call us to. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

“Many nations will be joined with the Lord in that day and will become my people. I will live among you and you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you.” (Zechariah 2:11)
Today, O God, we pray for our friends who live with Dyslexia. Though some might think of it as a learning disorder, others might consider it an opportunity to be creative and grow in a different way. We give thanks for the diversity of everyone around us, and I pray that we have grace and kindness to work alongside and encourage all our friends, regardless of ability or disability. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

“Look, he is coming with the clouds,” and “every eye will see him, even those who pierced him”; and all the peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.” So shall it be! Amen (Revelation 1:7)
God of all words, today is Harry Potter Book Day. For those who love the series, may we dive into one of our favourites and read it again. For those who love other books, may we find something new to read and to escape the world around us as we live into our imaginations. For the budding authors in our midst, may we encourage them to write so that we can enjoy their creation. May we celebrate the words – whether we read them or listen to them – and the worlds created within them. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. (Psalms 19:1)
Loving God, today is World Homelessness Day. The statistics are staggering as more people around the world are without a place to call their own. As we get into our coldest season, help us to see each other and to check in on one another. May we support the organizations that provide food and shelter to those in greatest need, and to actively seek and share ideas of how to make systemic changes. We pray for a world where everyone has basic needs, dignity, and respect. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

“Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it? On what were its footings set, or who laid its cornerstone – while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy?” (Job 38:4-7)
On Saturdays we pray for children and families, and though we pray for all children and families today, we think especially of those in Armenia. They celebrate Yerevan Day with events, music, food, and dancing. They celebrate their resilience and renewal for a city that has stood the test of time. May we all carry a little celebration in our hearts today, encouraging us to play and to enjoy where and who we are and what we have in life. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

“I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” (Genesis 12:2-3)
Creating God, today we pray for and thank farmers. It is work that not everyone can do. We thank you for their adaptability to technology and change, for their advocacy for quality, and their willingness to take risks with seasons, animals, and mother nature. Grant them peace, O God. Grant them rest. Grant them the knowledge that they are also heroes in our lives. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
