High Country United Church is home to a fabulous church family of all ages.
All are welcome to all that we offer.
Our Minister: Rev. Janet Henderson (formerly Jones) has been in ministry with High Country United since September of 2014. She has a passion for engaging all ages in their faith journey and in how they can impact the world. She graduated from Emmanuel College in Toronto in 2016 with a M.Div and ordained in May 2017. She says her favourite part about being with High Country United Church is the people and their willingness to try something new, to play together and that we're always looking for meaningful ways to connect with the wider community and the world. She's named that her purpose in life is to make an impact on homelessness and hunger, and we support her work with various organizations and committees as we stay up-to-date and take part in the opportunities that arise.
Visit our Blog for her most recent sharing - 365 Days of Prayer in 2025.
Sunday Services: Worship begins at 10:30AM on Sundays and lasts for about an hour. We live-stream our worship services on Facebook and YouTube where anyone can watch at anytime. We enjoy singing, playing, and praying together. Everyone is together for the first portion of the service and then the young people go to our bright and airy lower hall for Sunday School. We have a devoted choir and musicians who offer their gifts and talents to the service from time to time. We encourage all ages to participate in the life of worship. After worship, we all head to the lower hall for refreshments and fellowship.
Weekly Prayers: Join us Sundays at 7:55PM on Facebook or YouTube for a shorter prayer service online only. Rev. Jan shares a scripture reading, a brief reflection, a sung response, and prayers for our world and community. They are then followed by announcements. Weekly prayers are usually live though some Sundays are pre-recorded.

If a very specific date is requested, please give as much advance notice as possible. Please keep in mind that we are closed through the month of August. Inquiries can be made by emailing: [email protected] or by calling the church directly.
If your family wishes baptism in an emergency situation, please call Rev. Janet at 519-938-0213.

Inquiries can be made by emailing: [email protected] or by calling the church directly.
Prayer Shawls:

If you would like to give a prayer shawl to someone or would like our minister to take/send one to someone, please contact the church office. There is no cost or donation necessary as the shawls are an extension of our hearts. Donations of wool/yarn are always appreciated.
